My review
Level of familiarity before listening
I’m not familiar with Johnny Winter or this record at all, but I have reviewed Entrance by Edgar Winter, his brother. I did not like it.
What I expected
Blues, rock.
What it was actually like
This was a totally ok blues rock record with no bad songs, but also none that really stood out as great, or even stood out from each other. The one thing that was extremely notable was Winter’s very gravelly voice, which consistently growled through every song.
Everybody’s Blues was relatively slow and the most barebcue restaurant song.
Grade
3/5: interesting, but not for me
