Level of familiarity before listening
It would be pretty difficult never to have heard of Frank Sinatra, but I’m definitely not a fan and have never heard this record or intentionally listened to any of his music (except attending Yankee games and listening to his version of Theme from New York, New York when they win, or Liza Minnelli’s when they lose).
What I expected
Love songs with smooth vocals intended for the enjoyment of people born before the 1940s.
What it was actually like
I think Frank Sinatra had a wonderful voice, and I strongly dislike all of his music.
I guess if I had to pick a favorite song from this record, it would be Chicago, but that’s really pushing it. High Hopes was the worst song for sure.
1/5: horrible enough that I couldn’t make it through
